Care Options

When you and your loved one make the choice to forgo curative care, hospice is the ideal alternative. At Serenity Hospice & Palliative Care, we focus on end of life enjoyment by reducing the symptoms associated with the illness while providing adequate pain management. This compassionate and caring approach provides an enhanced quality of life that allows our patients to live out their last years in contentment and fulfillment.

The decision to forgo curative care often occurs with a diagnosis from a physician of six months or less. We understand how challenging this can be and so we offer a network of support including bereavement support services for family and community members after the loss of a loved one. At Serenity Hospice & Palliative Care, we are focused on supporting the needs of our patients and their family members with a wide range of different services.

Hospice is a form of palliative care for patients and their loved ones with a life limiting illness, who have chosen to forgo curative treatment and focus on relief of pain and symptoms.

Instead of focusing on curative care, we offer pain relief and symptom management for our patients. In addition to offering physical care for pain management and symptom relief, we also provide emotional and spiritual support.

Palliative care is the prevention and relief of suffering by a team of professionals that focuses on managing symptoms, relieving pain and improving quality of life, regardless of diagnosis. Through the palliative care program, patients will receive symptom management, disease-specific education, advanced care planning, goals of care discussions, family/caregiver emotional support and assistance with navigation through community resources.
